  The above chart is a simple comparison of our fence connectors and others on the market so that you will have a better understanding of what is available and how we compare. We have been quoted in the mid $0.20's to manufacture these parts - please go to economical press connector.
  
  

• Why - During my last 50 years I have been very successful in business as built then retired from 3 successful ones and am currently retired again and do not wish to be involved in building another new business - therefore I am looking for a licensee, purchaser or partner for a joint venture who is interested in developing this product for the millions of users that are wanting a simpler as well as easier way of building fences.

  Of course all who enter this will be awarded because each will benefit -

  • the farmer or rancher by cutting his corner installing time by as much as 90%,
  • the retailer as now they will have a welcome and needed product to offer their friends, and
  • the manufacturer as now he can enjoy making something protected by patents that his country men want and need.
  
  
  
• How - can the manufacturer financially benefit?
  A reasonable profit can made from this product for the investor / manufacture. There is a U.S. market & demand of approximately 45,000,000 connectors annually, based on a reasonable wholesale price of $0.50 for these new effortless and Eazy to install patented fence connectors.

  We figured the retail price at $1.00 based on the steel T post selling at approximately $1.25 each - of course as the price of steel decreases or increases due to the cost of steel then the fence post connectors will be adjusted as the T post prices change.

  
  
  Potential Volume - an estimate -

  Assuming that 90% of the volume will be on the items 90-D and 45-A see Catalogue for details. We have been quoted (2005 before the large increase in steel) at an approximate cost of $0.26 each for volume manufacturing to buy and am sure that there is a profit in this figure. The volume is based on a retail at $1.00 each on the above items, however the other items covered in our patent you will be able to charge more due to the low volume as well as increased material and labor.

  
  A couple of ways of looking at this -

  First - As far as the total T post sold in the US that is in addition to the below - which is only an estimate of replacement fencing corners. We now understand that there are 330,000 Tons of T post sold in US (made by US manufacturers) 222 T post to a ton (330,000 X 222 =73,260,000 total number of Post sold per year) If you figure every 330 feet / 16.5 = 20 post in line brace. Therefore at each connector location or 16% of the total T post ) you would need 4 connectors at each location. So even when you used the total of 73,260,000 T post used and multiplied it by merely 10% you will get 7,326,000 connector locations X 4 (number at each location) you will get a total of approximately 29,000,000 connectors used.

  Using the figure of 29,000,000 connectors used annually there is a profit of $2,900,000.00 @ $0.10 each which is less than the figure below as this does not include the imported T post used in this country.

  This would also mean that if the above connectors were used then the T post manufacturer (needed 3 per in-line support or corner as uprights + 2 for cross supports or 5 total) would sell an additional large number of T post. Actually his sales of T post should increase by at least 16%.

  Second - I have done a little research and find that there is quite a large demand as well as need for this product as outlined below - please note that this does NOT include large farms or ranches - so the figure could be 4 to 6 times the amount of small farms.

  In regards to the volume of connectors that will be needed - please consider the following and we figured the needs only for replacement of worn out products during the next 10 years.

  We came up with the following Ball Park figure:

  Small Farms - For example there are an average of 75,000 small farms / state = 3,600,000 farms in lower 48 states Use 100 connectors / farm (100 X 3,600,000) = 360,000,000 units or (360,000,000 /10) = 36,000,000 per year

  Highways interstate - 21,000 miles use every 520 feet 1/10 per mile use 4 on each side therefore need 4 X 10(# per mile)X 2 (2 sides of highway ) = 80 / mile or need (80 X 21.000) = 1,680,000 or (1,680,000 /10) =168,000 per year

  Other areas which is in not included in the above - fences in the following areas:

  • National Highway system,
  • Airports,
  • Security fencing,
  • Large Farms in US,
  • Ranches in US,
  • BLM fences on their lands and
  • National Park fences on their lands.

  And remember whatever approach you use to arrive at the total connectors sold you will increase your sales of T post at least 10% if you are in the business of selling T post.

  So you see this is a rather large market that we are gong after and there in nothing on the market now that will compete as the closest item is made of 3 different parts to make 1 connector and the cost is approximately 4 times ours. I am assuming that the cost difference is due to the fabrication of 3 different items.
